Boys JV beat River View!!!
This is the first time the whole season that the JV boys baseball team has beat River View. Yesterday's victory over the Black Bears proved to be a turning point for the season. All juniors on the JV team have been moved up, so now the Jv team consists solely of freshmen and sophomores. Finally, we have beat RV

Ahh crap
I did something to my knee last night at our JV baseball game ( which we won against New Phila). I don't exactly know how it happened or what's completely wrong with it. But I think something is seriously wrong with my leg. I can't bend it and I can't stretch it all the way. Any ideas on what might be wrong with it?

JV baseball.... Actually won a game.... I'm amazed
Last Saturday the Boys JV baseball team captured their first victory. The victory over John Glenn proved that the JV can win a game. With Evan Johnson on the mound and me behind the plate, the game had taken a new turn. I have never started catcher before, but have played the position. Evan, picthing all 7 innings, had a great game. Any comments on the team's first victory?
Easter... Not good...
This Easter, all I got was chocolate. Nothing else. And, I had a bad weekend also. On Easter, my puppy, who is not even a year old, was hit by a truck. She was taken to the vet immediately following the incident. After several worried hours, the vet came out and told us that she was ok, but he was not sure if she was going to make it. So the next day and a half was spent at home worrying over our injured puppy. Later yesterday, the vet called. He said that Moe, the puppy, was going to make it, but she would have to stay at the animal hospital for another day. We were relieved. Today is the day that Moe comes home. Hopefully she's energetic and playful, and back to normal.

Pirates!! Ahh!!
In a developing story, Somalian pirates have hijacked a cargo ship. The Maesrk company that owns the boat told the U.S. military to stand back for a little bit and let the company try to work it out. They are willing to pay a ransom of $10 million to get the captain, Richard Phillips, back. The boat is currently on free float, due to the fact that the boat has no fuel left. The pirates have taken a lifeboat. The pirates options dwindle however, as a U.S. wearship draws nearer and negiotatiors try to contact the ship and begin bargaining with the pirates.

Baseball is not going well
The JV baseball team is not doing their best. They lost an embarrassing game last night to Zanesville, 19 - 5. The team needs to stop messing around in the dugout during games and stop acting like they don't care, because that's what they did last night. The enthusiam of the team seemed to increase after the game was in it's final innings.

Lunch
It's my favorite time of day. And now with the prices being lower than what I am used to back at Ridgewood (lunches there cost $2.50 for a single lunch) I go and get about a double or triple lunch everyday, with about 3 - 6 cookies in between and about 2 or 3 cartons of strawberry milk. But the only thing I dislike about the school food is that whenever there's a holiday dinner, you don't get to pick if you want to eat it or not. For example, the Easter Dinner was the only lunch offered to students last Thursday. I do not agree with this. It particularly made me mad because I was not allowed to get more than one ice cream snack. The snack line was not opened, which meant I was not allowed to get my daily amount of cookies. This infuriated me. Why should the school enforce students to get only a certain kind of lunch and limit how much they should get? This will never make any sense to me. Any comments about the Easter Dinner?

On Target Article
This article is about using technology to locate academic problems among students who have a hard time understanding a certain subject or area. Mary Rooney, a teacher at John Welsh School, has learned and used technology to help her students succeed in areas that they have not been able to become successful at in the past. Using the ISM from SchoolNet has greatly helped her understand her students weaknesses and strong points in her lessons. From using this tool, she has been able to locate and go over areas that students are having problems with. do you think using technology in the classroom is useful?
